Cary-Grove Girls Athletics Speed & Agility Camp
This camp is designed specifically for improving speed, explosiveness, agility and running form for CG girls’ athletes in ALL sports.
The camp will be spearheaded by Chaille Gleason, assistant CG track & field coach. Coach Gleason is considered one of the most knowledgeable coaches in the state when it comes to making girls faster. As an assistant track coach at Palatine HS for 20 years, she trained 105 All-State sprinters and jumpers. In addition to setting 12 school records in the sprinting and jumping events, her athletes were key contributors to 12 MSL conference titles, 16 IHSA Sectional titles and seven top-3 team trophies at track & field state meet. After four years at Cary Junior High (where her athletes set 11 school records in sprint/jump events) she has been with the Cary-Grove girls track & field team for the past 13 years and has continued to successfully train our sprinters and jumpers to school record, Conference, Sectional and State-level success. She has been recognized by the Illinois Track and Cross Country Coaches Association (ITCCCA) as Assistant Coach of the Year, has presented numerous times at ITCCCA’s annual coaching clinic, and is enshrined in the ITCCCA Hall of Fame. When it comes to getting girls faster and more explosive, there is no better coach around.
Our goal with this camp is to improve girls’ athleticism in ALL sports. This will be a collaborative effort with input from head coaches of all CG girls teams, so that the skills taught and learned in this camp can be adapted and applied to all our sports across the board.
